Gameday Preview - Outlaws vs Heat

The Outlaws take to the floor for the first time since 2019 as they take on the Regina Heat in the home opener. Game time is 2:30pm at the Kinsmen Arena.

2019 Review
The last time the Outlaws played a game was on June 25, 2019 where they defeated the Saskatoon Steelers 15 - 5 in the PGLL Tier II Final.

Roster Changes
The Outlaws will look a bit different than they did the last time they played in 2019. Due to various reasons, some players have opted out of the 2022 season. Some of the new players taking the floor for the Outlaws this season include: Kurtis Peifer, Kallen Currie, Ethan Kennedy, Trey Duquette, Cody Lafond, and Michael Scharkowski.

Champions
9 members of the current Outlaws squad played with the PA Prairie Dogs last fall and won the 2021 Harvest Cup which is the Saskatchewan Field Lacrosse League (SFLL) championship. These players are: Kyle Sawchuk, Lucas Wells, Kallen Currie, Brody Holizki, Lawrence Holizki, Kurtis Peifer, Jordan Carriere, Mark Peterson, and Brendin Currie.

Next Game
The Outlaws will head to Regina on May 14 for the second game of the home-and-home series between the two clubs.

The Great Western Breweries Outlaws Saloon will be open during the Outlaws game today. It will also be open later tonight at the Predators game.
